Dear friends, I want to welcome you to a new ministry – a Center for Spiritual Formation called “Selah,” loosely meaning “pause” or “stop and listen.” I have been absent from my email blog for a year and eager to start again as part of this ministry.

A new chapter in my life has begun and it seems that everything I’ve done up until now has led to Selah. Take a look at my website at www.selahspiritual.com. I’m having a ball creating it and am eager for it to do some good. It is my heart’s desire to use this as a way to introduce people to a deeper intimacy with God and to equip them to carry the understanding of God as love to our hurting, broken world. This begins with church leaders: both “official” ministers who hold formal leadership roles and also the “natural leaders” that God is using to minister in a non-official capacity. What is thrilling to me is the unlimited possibilities of the Internet to reach folk all over the world. Many of us have access to unlimited encouragement and training in our spiritual formation, but we are just a drop in the bucket compared to those who do not have access to these resources. What potential!

I come to you with an invitation. I am in need of approximately $100,000 to kick start this center. This will go to web development, working with an eLearning company, paying instructors, working with a videographer, marketing, and to help offset my personal investment. This funding campaign will launch the Center. What you will receive in return for your donation is a voucher for our classes, certificate programs, prayer forms, retreats, and other offerings as we imagine and create them. Anything you give is helpful–$10 to $1,000,000–I’m not going to limit you. ($1,000,000 is really the best value–you can do any of our offerings for life and I will wash your car and walk your dog.)
