I am “learning” to eat fruit. Oh, I don’t mean just a banana on cereal though that is delicious too but I mean learning to like fruit as much as I like chocolate! When I think of a tasty treat, I tend to think of chocolate-anything chocolate from a luscious brownie to a handful of chocolate chips eaten straight out of the bag.
But after a round of “too much chocolate” with the blood sugar spike followed by low blood sugar rush, I have decided I must learn to like fruit as a dessert or as a snack. And do you know what? I am finding it delicious!
The season’s peaches purchased at the local fruit and vegetables have been delectable, sweet, beautiful and delicious. The cherries have been sublime and joyfully inexpensive and a true tribute to our Creator’s exquisite beauty and love for us.
Grab hold of the season’s bounty as summer is drawing to a close. Taste and you will see that the Lord is good.
